BROCKPORT – The SUNY Cobleskill men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams wrapped up competition at the SUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at SUNY Brockport’s Special Events Recreation Center, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from sophomore thrower Will Mann and a strong showing from local athlete Anneliese Klein.
Mann (Pawling, NY) delivered the top performance for the Fighting Tigers on the final day of the championships, breaking his own SUNY Cobleskill program record in the shot put with a toss of 14.06 meters (46-1½). The mark earned him an eighth-place finish and scoring position for Cobleskill after setting the previous record earlier this season.
Klein (Carlisle, NY) turned in a standout meet for the Tigers, scoring points in two events. She placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles final with a time of 9.71 seconds and added an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.17 meters (16-11½).
Following two days of competition, Cobleskill finished 11th overall at the championships.
