COBLESKILL — At the Annual Training Conference in New York City, on Tuesday, February 17th, Tina Ward, Cobleskill Town Clerk, was voted in as President of the New York Association of Towns. Tina has moved up through the ranks and has been in the association for 17 years beginning in 2009. She was recently interviewed by Jodee Kenney, Spectrum News Anchor and InFocus New York. The interview should be aired by the end of this month. Tina started on the Resolutions Committee in 2009. Other positions include the Constitution of Bylaws committee and Audit and Finance Committee. Tina began her officer career beginning as 5th Vice President.
The Cobleskill Town Supervisor, Werner Hampel, stated that he was also at the meeting for training and is very proud to have our Town Clerk become the President of the NYAOT. She is a big asset to our Town and the Association. NYAOT provides a tremendous resource for all the towns in New York State. Congratulations to Tina for her hard work and dedication.
Tina began her career as a Cobleskill Town Clerk in 1992 and has continued till present. Other Associations she is involved in includes the New York State Association of Town Clerks NYSTICA, and the Schoharie County Town Clerks Association. She is a member of the Cobleskill Fire Department Auxiliary, and a Board Member for SCHOPEG the local television station through Spectrum, and several other committees including, December to Remember in Cobleskill.
Ward’s election as President of NYAOT highlights not only her dedication to Cobleskill but also her longstanding commitment to strengthening local government across New York State.
