Cobleskill-Richmondville Dominates Three-Way Track Meet

COBLESKILL — The Cobleskill-Richmondville track and field teams delivered a commanding performance Tuesday, April 14, securing decisive victories in a three-way meet against Berne-Knox-Westerlo (BKW) and Mekeel Christian Academy (MCA).

The Bulldogs' boys and girls teams both finished at the top of the standings, utilizing depth across track and field events to distance themselves from the competition.

Boys’ Division

The Cobleskill-Richmondville boys finished with a total of 121 points, followed by BKW with 41 points and Mekeel Christian Academy with 19 points.

The Bulldogs dominated the field events, sweeping the top spots in the throwing and jumping categories. Hantho led the way with first-place finishes in both the shot put (40'3.5") and discus (113'1"). Walrath also secured key points, winning the high jump with a height of 5'6".

On the track, A. Hughes was a standout for the Bulldogs, taking first place in both the 1600m (5:01) and the 3200m (10:53.5). The Bulldogs also swept the relay events, winning the 4x800m, 4x100m, and 4x400m races.

BKW found success in the sprints and hurdles. Lendrum took first place in both the 400m (52.7) and the 200m (22.7). Quinn also added a victory for BKW in the 110m hurdles with a time of 19.5 seconds.

Girls’ Division

The Cobleskill-Richmondville girls mirrored the boys' success, finishing with 112 points. BKW placed second with 28 points, while Mekeel Christian Academy followed with 9 points.

McCann was a top performer for the Bulldog girls, winning the 100m dash (12.7) and the high jump (5'2"). Hughes dominated the throwing circle, securing first place in the shot put (35'7.5") and the discus (108'9").

In the distance events, Hughes won the 1500m (5:52), while Mentiply took the top spot in the 3000m (12:22.1). The Bulldogs also claimed victories in the 4x800m, 4x100m, and 4x400m relays.

Mekeel Christian Academy’s Dell highlighted the field events for the visitors, winning both the long jump (15'8.25") and the triple jump (31'1"). BKW’s Hotaling earned a first-place finish in the 100m hurdles (18.9), and Crovatis won the 400m hurdles (1:20.05).
