COBLESKILL — The Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs put on a dominant display of offense Monday, defeating the Middleburgh Knights 21-0 in a five-inning contest shortened by the mercy rule.

The Bulldogs set a relentless pace from the opening frame, plating seven runs in the first inning and never looking back. The offensive surge was led by A. Prezorski, who went 2-for-3 with a double, five RBIs, and two runs scored. K. Schweigard was equally effective, finishing a perfect 2-for-2 with a triple, four RBIs, and a run scored, while Emory Comino added two hits and an RBI in the win.

Cobleskill-Richmondville’s pitching staff stifled the Middleburgh bats, holding the Knights to just two hits over five innings. D. Palmer earned the win, tossing four strong innings and allowing only one hit, while R. Briggs threw one inning of scoreless relief to preserve the shutout. Peyten Johns and K. Dolmas anchored the defensive effort behind the plate.

Middleburgh struggled to find an answer for the Bulldogs' barrage. E. Kossmann provided a bright spot for the Knights, recording both of the team's hits, including a double. On the mound, L. Kowaiski and Cecilia Shultes shared the pitching duties for Middleburgh, with Skylar Kennedy handling catching responsibilities.

The victory highlights a high-powered Bulldogs offense that tallied 14 hits while remaining flawless in the field. Middleburgh will look to bounce back in their next outing as the local softball season continues.
