The Cobleskill Rescue Squad, which is closely allied with the Cobleskill Fire Department, is an agency of the Village of Cobleskill. The squad members, who are all unpaid volunteers, currently include NYS-certified paramedics and EMTs, motor-vehicle operators, and scene support staff. Individuals interested in joining the Cobleskill Rescue Squad are invited to attend any of its meetings for additional information. Squad’s business meeting is held at the Cobleskill firehouse at 7:00 PM on the first Monday of each month; the monthly training meeting is held there at 7:00 PM on the third Monday. Interested persons may also inquire by writing to cobycaptain@cobleskillrescuesquad.com. Applicants who complete a minimum 6 months of membership probation are eligible for training to become drivers and EMTs. The Squad likewise invites individuals of ages14 to 18 to participate as “junior members” and college students to participate as “student members.”
