COBLESKILL – Cobleskill Partnership Inc. (CPI) is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Cobleskill Art In Action Festival & Auction, set to transform the heart of Schoharie County into a vibrant canvas of creativity on Saturday, June 20.

In anticipation of this premiere cultural event, CPI is issuing a visible Call for Artists to creators across Schoharie County, the Capital Region, Central New York, and beyond. We are inviting visual artists of varied mediums and disciplines to apply to participate in an event designed to highlight the artistic process as much as the finished product.

Bringing Art to Life in Cobleskill

Unlike more traditional gallery showcases, the Art In Action Festival focuses on the dynamic energy of creation. The event seeks to celebrate the growing reputation of Schoharie County as a destination for the arts.

Participating artists will have the unique opportunity to:

Create Live: Demonstrate their techniques and engage with the public in real-time.

Exhibit & Sell: Display finished works to a captive audience of collectors and community members. Participate in the Auction: Select pieces created on-site in a 90-minute timed “Quick Draw” exhibition will be featured in a live auction, promoting high-value sales that benefit the artists, CPI, and the community.

“We are thrilled to invite the artistic community to Cobleskill for this inaugural event,” said Chris Guldner, Vice President of Cobleskill Partnership Inc. “Our goal is to pull back the curtain on the creative process. By partnering with Arts Councils in our region of New York, we look forward to attracting a diverse roster of talent that will spark inspiration and vitality in the artist community as well as the Cobleskill community and beyond.”

Call for Artists: How to Apply

Arts Councils are encouraged to share this opportunity with their members immediately. We are seeking visual artists of all mediums who are comfortable creating in a public, festival atmosphere.

Application Deadlines: April 15 for the juried Quick Draw exhibition and auction. For Structured Activity Artists and Artist Vendors the application deadline is April 30.

Event Date: June 20 9 a.m 4 p.m. throughout downtown Cobleskill
