COBLESKILL - A man was arrested last Friday after deputies responded to a domestic dispute and found him in violation of a court-issued protection order.

Michael R. Fink, 44, of Cobleskill, was taken into custody on February 6, following an incident on Sagendorf Corners Road in the Town of Cobleskill, according to the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the location at approximately 3:23 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute in progress.

While interviewing the individuals involved, deputies determined Mr. Fink was in violation of an active temporary stay away order of protection issued by the Town of Cobleskill Court, police said.

Mr. Fink was transported to the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office.

He was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, according to police.

Mr. Fink was arraigned in Schoharie County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility. Bail was set at $20,000 cash, $40,000 bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Cobleskill Court at a later date.
