SCHOHARIE - The busy times continue at Schoharie Central School as the school year enters spring.
Elementary physical education teacher Angela Jackson updated school board members about the February and March doings at the two schools at their March 19 board meeting.
Ms. Jackson highlighted the following school doings:
* February was Read for Ronald McDonald House month and students raised $2,618. Grace Berrian, a fourth grader, was the top reader and got to be "Principal for a day."
* Fifth graders wrote interpretive reports on investigative reporters.
* The Honor Society and Key Club helped hold a Red Cross Blood Drive on March 6.
* Ninth and 10th grade English students discussed law, morality, and justice after viewing To Kill a Mockingbird.
* English students in the 12th grade discussed stories of the Holocaust after reading Night and watching Schlinder's List.
* An ice fishing trip was attended by 44 students.
* Kindergartners celebrated the 100th day of school with a T-shirt fashion show.
* Ms. Ebert's class made rainbows to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
