COBLESKILL — The Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs rode an 11-hit performance to a 9-6 victory over the Johnstown Sir Bills on Monday. Despite a late-game surge from Johnstown, the Bulldogs held on to secure the home win.

The Bulldogs' offense was sparked by Mike Gunzinger and Alexander Carr, who both recorded extra-base hits and drove in two runs apiece. Starting pitcher E. Barr and a trio of relievers combined to navigate 13 walks issued to Johnstown batters, racking up 10 strikeouts to limit the damage.

Johnstown struggled to find their rhythm early, failing to record a hit in the first three innings. The Sir Bills eventually generated offense behind N. Paliling and A. Isabella, who each recorded two hits in the losing effort.

On the mound for Johnstown, D. Brown surrendered six earned runs over 3.2 innings while striking out five. Reliever A. Isabella pitched the final two frames, giving up three uncurbed runs as the Bulldogs maintained their lead.

The Sir Bills looked to capitalize on control issues from the Bulldogs' pitching staff, drawing 13 total walks. However, Johnstown left 14 runners on base, stalling several potential rallies.

Cobleskill-Richmondville displayed aggressive baserunning, with stolen bases recorded by S. O'Neil, L. Forsythe, and D. Covey. Defensively, the Bulldogs committed two errors but managed to keep Johnstown at bay during a five-run surge in the late innings.
