BOVINA CENTER — The Bovina Public Library will host a practical culinary workshop this month designed to separate social media "hacks" from high-quality cooking techniques.

The event, titled "Kitchen Hacks Redux: Reel Edition," is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the library’s facility at 33 Maple Ave.

Led by Gary Simmons, the hands-on session is inspired by the influx of food trends and short-form "reels" currently circulating on digital platforms. Participants will work together in the library kitchen to determine which viral recipes and shortcuts actually live up to their online hype.

The class will cover a range of dishes, including appetizers and desserts. Attendees will have the opportunity to test various techniques, prepare food, and sample the results to discover new reliable recipes.

While all materials for the workshop are included, the library welcomes voluntary cash donations to support ongoing community programming. Those interested in attending can find more details and RSVP through the Bovina Public Library website.
