PINE HILL — Pine Hill will be getting a gas station again soon if construction continues at its current pace. The former Belleayre Plaza gas station is preparing for a potential opening later this year.
Supervisor Barbara “Babs” Mansfield spoke about the progress at the Belleayre Plaza gas station location, which has been vacant in recent years.
“It’s astounding how fast things are happening,” said Mansfield.
Tarik Gujar with Aero Star Petroleum told the town that he is planning to open this summer. The station will likely be a Mobil.
Mansfield said that to “have somewhere for people to have a quick bite and stop” and be able to visit Pine Hill across the street would be a great boon. She added that there is a new skatepark in Pine Hill and that there’s no facilities nearby to utilize.
There is ample traffic going to and from Belleayre and it provides a good option for those traveling along the Route 28 Corridor.
“There are so many things happening in Pine Hill that are so compatible with that,” she said.
“It’s booming.”
We will follow up on the opening of the gas station as we get closer.
