SCHOHARIE — Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C-Schoharie), Ranking Member of the New York State Assembly Committee on Agriculture and a longtime advocate for New York farmers, has been named a 2026 inductee into the New York FFA Hall of Fame. The announcement comes during National FFA Week by New York FFA President Zoe Valencia.

Tague is being recognized in the “Models of Possibility” category. A former dairy farmer from Schoharie County, Tague has dedicated his career to supporting New York agriculture and agricultural education. His work as a legislator and consistent advocacy for farmers and young leaders in FFA has made a lasting impact on the future of agriculture in the state.

The induction ceremony will take place on May 15 at the New York State FFA Convention in Buffalo.

“I am humbled and grateful to be inducted into the New York FFA Hall of Fame,” said Tague. “FFA played a pivotal role in my own life as a young farmer, teaching me the value of hard work. To be recognized alongside so many dedicated individuals who have made their respective impacts on agricultural education is truly an honor. I am committed to supporting our farmers because #NoFarmsNoFood means we must continue investing in the future of agriculture.”

Tague extends his thanks to the New York FFA Association, its members, advisors and supporters for this meaningful recognition.

Assemblyman Chris Tague represents the 102nd Assembly District, which includes Greene and Schoharie counties, and parts of Albany, Delaware and Otsego counties.
