Wa-hoo temps hitting 30’s.

I have been hearing birds chirping lately, do not remember any chirping when it was ice cold.

Lots of ice fishing on Summit Lake last week. The ice is 16” thick with snow and slush on top.

School Resource Officer Deputy Minton joined students from Schoharie Central School’s Outdoor Club February 11th on an ice fishing trip! As one of our members trained in ice water rescue, he gladly assisted the club with the event which was put on in cooperation with the Schoharie County Youth Bureau, local NYS ENCON officers and the Summit Fire Department. Around 40 students and several chaperones participated and a great time was had by all! Thank you SCS for involving us. Information and photos from the Schoharie County Sheriff Facebook page.

Happy birthday to those born on February 29. This is not a leap year so anyone born on February 29 does not have an official day.

Had a yummy breakfast at Charlotteville FD February 15 and sat/chatted with Jim and Deb Soucia.

I normally do not watch ice hockey games but I have been watching it on the Olympics. The USA women’s and men’s teams are currently undefeated, way cool.
