Woke up to minus 8 degrees Saturday morning then it went down to -10 but there was no wind thank goodness. In these temps when you walk on packed snow it crunches. On Sunday morning it was -0, what in the world is minus zero and only went up to plain old 0 all day.

The snow storm, Fern, of last weekend is also referred to as Snowmageddon. It was strangely exciting to wake up to 10 degrees instead of zero on Monday morning, but there was about two feet of snow.

You know how they say Arizona is hot but not so bad because it’s a dry heat; well we are really cold but it’s a dry cold so not that bad.

A bunch of people in the area posted photos on Facebook of the Northern Lights last Monday. I didn’t see them; did you?

It’s almost fun to buy gas again, below $3 per gallon; almost.

Anybody else get spam phone calls that always ask for Laurie? I do. I guess they figure they will get a Laurie sooner or later.

Had a darn squirrel in the window bird feeder; so annoying. I bet he’s (just assuming it’s a he) the critter that knocked the feeder loose a few days before. I had to wait until it warmed up a tad to suction cup the feeder back up.

So sorry to hear that Bruce Wollaber, of Summit, passed away. I had gone with him and his wife Debbie on a 4-wheeler ride around their property last October as their property is in my next Summit Farms book.

Hi to my mom Connie who gets the Mt. Eagle in TN.

Thank you to Brian Goodfellow, of West Fulton, for the photos.
