Inside Easter Egg hunt because of weather

April brought so many smiles in my life early Saturday morning and later Saturday afternoon.  My family and I had the opportunity to be able to help with two local, free egg hunts. One was in Cobleskill and the other in Seward.  All in all there were over 3,000 eggs total hidden and collected on Saturday.  I love to give back to the community. I am teaching my boys to give back so your community continues on. Thank you to those who put on the events and those who came to the events!

This Saturday,  April 11, is the last pancake breakfast for the season.  The Zion Lutheran Church of Seward is hosting from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  The church is located at 114 Mesick Avenue Cobleskill.  Bring your hungry belly and they will have food ready to fill it up. Thank you to those who help put this on. Thank you to the patrons that show up.

Small business Spotlight: BottleRocket Creations was founded in 2021, originally offering custom tumblers and seasonal resin gifts. In 2025, the business expanded and officially became an LLC, evolving to focus on hands-on creative workshops hosted at local businesses and private venues.

Today, BottleRocket Creations offers a variety of beginner-friendly workshops, including stained glass, blown glass orbs and ornaments, as well as resin and glass décor. Each experience is designed to bring out the artistic side in everyone—no prior experience needed.

Workshops can be hosted as stand-alone events that attract new patrons to local businesses or incorporated into private celebrations such as birthdays, holidays, and special gatherings.

The next Seward Town board meeting  is April  13, at 6:30 p.m. located at the town hall. The next CRCS school board meeting  is April 13 at 6:30 p.m., located at the Middle School library. This is a big one about the budget. Over the past year, I have tried to become a more concerned citizen. If you wish to attend either meeting,  you are welcome to do so.

I have many events coming up for crafters, small businesses and food vendors. May 2, the CRCS FFA is looking for vendors for their fundraiser at the school, contact Justin Ferreira or Danny Hughes.  June 20, we are looking for vendors for our memorial car show in honor of Jeffrey, contact  myself,  Harry Rode, or Brenda Morissette. July 4, Cobleskill is holding  a night celebration with  Christian Smith.  Seward Farmers and Artisans Market is looking for vendors and veterans for the July 1 market,  contact myself.

This weekend brings my birthday on Sunday! I am staying  busy  my my little family. Friday  night we go to see Jeff Lesson, at the Foothills. Saturday  we go to the Alice in Wonderland train ride in Utica,  with Aly too. Sunday, I hope to go to Creekside flea market and have a good meal with my family.  Come home and cuddle all my fur babies. Thank you all for reading each week. Love to you all for a good week.
