April has warmed us up and given us some rain to begin our Spring. April has been good to our little family. Last Thursday, April 9, my husband Jeremy and I were able to support our Farm Bureau family Steven, Erin, Riley and Richard Smith. Richard was honored for his years of service as a judge. The ceremony was beautiful and I was so grateful to be there.
My little bakery, Pig Out, turned two years old on April 8. I began my little bakery after a fundraiser for Larson's Lil Dawgs team. We raised $1,000 in three weeks. After the fundraiser people still asked for baked goods, so I applied for my cottage license. I can not believe we are here two years later! I love the big smiles and warm stories from my customers. I love going to vendor events and meeting new people. My favorite is being honored to make something special for a life event. My bakery has allowed me to stay home and teach my boys them how to bake.
My birthday was last Sunday and it was perfect. We went to get a chocolate milk tomato Stewarts and munchkins from Dunkin for our swap ride. First we went to the Central Bridge Farm Swap, then the Creekside Flea Market. I love thrifting! We stopped at the Breakabean Store for some amazing subs. We headed home to play with our fur babies outside listening to music. Last, my mom and Manny stopped in for dinner and cake.
Saturday was the Madd Hatter train ride in Utica, NY. We snagged Dalton's girlfriend Aly and headed there. It was so cute! I love Alice in Wonderland! The staff dressed up in character costumes and went through each train car. Our car had the white rabbit and he was amazing! We had two types of hot tea and numerous snacks to munch on.
Friday, my husband and boys made a brand new sidewalk for our home. Yes, we have our permit ♡ They did a great job! It was their first time, Jeremy has worked with it before. Thank you to Mark Fletcher for letting us use his cement mixer.
Later Friday night we went to the Foothills in Oneonta to see Jeff Lesson. Lesson is from Canada and a stand up comedian for 23 years. We laughed so hard we were crying. I made sure to get front row seats, and they did not disappoint. Larson was one of the main targets, then Jeremy and Dalton.
On a farm note both of our boys will be welcoming two baby girl goats. Larson has purchased Moon Pie and Dalton has purchased Reba. They will be at our farm the second week of May. They are so excited! They are Nigerian Dwarf babies.
Monday night, Jeremy and I went to our last concert, 49 Winchester at Empire Live. I had never heard the band before and I really like their sound and songs. It was a good show to end our concerts before he goes back to work.
