Snow much to talk about this week! First off, thank you to the Sharon Pathfinders for getting our trails open, safe and ready for riding. Thank you to all of the volunteers who devote their time to this organization. Thank you to the land owners that allow the trails to be open on their property. I know my boys love to ride in the winter. I am more of a stay at home in the warm kind of mom.
On top of the trails being open, the roads were kept maintained by our town. Thank you to the plow truck drivers. This Strom did not give up and neither did you. If anyone is looking for a job the Town of Seward is still looking for full time CDL drivers, stop in or call Chad Evans.
Many of you know the King farm locally. What you may not know is that their beautiful daughter, Anna, is married to Brendan Scoralick. They both just got back from California. Brendan was in the NYS competition, at Stay Con, located at Turning Stone, in December of 2025. Brendan won the competition and became our State Winner, for the Young Farmer and Rancher. This is just for ages 18-35 years old. The next step of his journey sent him to California. He was one of 36 competitors at the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Conference in Anaheim, California. Out of all the competitors, Brendan was able to place in the Top 16! We are super proud of you Brendan! He is our local Farm Bureau Vice President. Brendan attributed his placement from being able to access all the knowledge of Farm Bureau Staff and cramming knowledge with his very helpful wife by his side! Brendan said the conference had value and was automatically a great opportunity, he would not mind competing again.
