Esperance Volunteer Fire Department’s Valentine’s Day Sweetheart and Hero Breakfast got postponed due to February 8th’s severe cold weather. The new date is Sunday February 15th, 8 AM-11 AM. “Come have breakfast with your favorite sweetheart/hero in your life. Raffle Basket $1-1 ticket or 15 for $10. Pancakes, french toast, sweetheart waffles, sausage, eggs and sausage gravy. By donation only. 115 Church St.”

And don’t miss the Esperance Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Fish Fry Friday Dinner which is back by popular demand! Going on February 20th, March 6th, March 20th, and April 3rd from 5 PM- 7 PM (or until sold out). “Grab a delicious hand-battered fish fry dinner served with mac and cheese, coleslaw, dinner roll & dessert. Take out only. $15 per dinner. We accept: cash, check or Venmo!”

Mayor Royce Gage would like to remind you, “Please no parking on Main Street Rt. 20 between November to April to help snow plowing keep our roads safe for all. Please park all vehicles in your driveways, thank you.”

Regular Esperance Village meetings take place every 2nd Monday of the Month; 7 PM in the Village Hall Meeting Room (115 Church Street). March’s meeting falls on the 9th.

Esperance Town Board meetings are every third Thursday of the month; their February meeting will take place on the 19th, 7 PM at Town Hall (104 Charleston Street).

Have you marked your calendars for the Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church’s (UMC) February events? They are located at 175 Main Street and on Sunday, February 15th at 10:45 AM, Faith Adventure Club meets before that morning’s 11 AM Sunday Worship. “FAC meets in the Education Building for age-appropriate faith formation and fun for kids in grades K–8.” 

February 17th from 6 PM-8 PM is Esperance–Sloansville UMC’s Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner. “Enjoy pancakes, good company, and a fun crafts table for kids. Cost: Free will offering. All are welcome! Bring friends, neighbors, and family as we prepare our hearts for the season of Lent.”

Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church will join Delanson United Methodist Church at their location (112 East Shore Road) for Ash Wednesday Worship; Feb.18th at 7 PM. Service will include the imposition of ashes.

Mosaic Youth Group meets Sunday, Feb 22nd 4:00-6:00 PM. “We’ll gather at Cobleskill UMC. All youth in grades 5-12 are welcome to join. Stay connected! Follow us (Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church) on Facebook for updates on Youth Group and dates and locations.”

S&H Bicycle Store posts frequently on their Facebook; make sure you’re following them for upcoming event updates, and check out their February 2nd post where they warmed the freezing cold night with a discussion about, “The hot topic of E-BIkES!”

S&H Bicycle Store also wants to make sure you know: Team Valarie Presents the 3rd Annual Valley Ride for Valarie. “Saturday May 16th at 9 A.M. Open to all bicycle riders of all skill levels. Also food, music, and games. To be held at the Timothy Murphy Pavilion on Rt 30 in Middleburgh.”
