SCHOHARIE — On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Sheriff Albro Fancher proudly held a swearing-in ceremony welcoming a new member to the Sheriff’s Office. 

In our Road Patrol Division, Deputy Keagan Adriance was officially sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff.  Deputy Adriance joins the office after graduating from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. 

Deputy Adriance will begin the Zone 5 Law Enforcement Academy on Friday, February 6th.  The academy portion of their training will conclude in August 2026, followed by Field Training continuing through the end of 2026.
