Inmate Arrested for Alleged Prison Contraband

DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of an incarcerated individual at the Delaware County Correctional Facility on charges of promoting prison contraband.

On April 3rd, Investigators with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division were notified by Correctional Facility Staff that an incarcerated individual was found to be in possession of contraband within the Delaware County Correctional Facility. Further investigation of the report discovered that 30-year-old Johnathon N. Brezinsky of Sidney, was in possession of dangerous contraband.

Upon conclusion of the investigation, Investigators arrested Brezinsky on one count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, a Class D Felony, in violation of the NYS Penal Law.

Brezinsky was arraigned at the Delaware County Centralized Arraignment Court and was remanded back to the custody of the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 dollars cash bail, $20,000 dollars partially secured bond.
