Above photo: All the Grand Marshals from the three St. Patrick’s Day Parades held thus far were on hand for this year’s march, last Sunday, including (left to right) 2025/Dermot and Colleen (McGrath) Fenlon (representing the McGrath family), 2026/Jeanne Farrell  (overseer of the Farrell School of Irish Dance) and 2024/Neil Kellegher (from the legendary “Shamrock House” resort Kellegher family). 


The World’s Tallest Leprechaun joins parade chairman Michael O’Connor, welcoming another record-setting crowd. The towering pixie is the spittin’ image of Shawn Kennedy who portrays the World’s Tallest Cowboy at the Blackthorne Resort in East Durham.


Windham Hose Company No. 1 member Michael Scarey enters the procession of volunteer firefighters and firetrucks from throughout the region, joined in the Spirit of Erin by little Oliver Allen and his mom Laura who made the journey to East Durham from Waterford.


Tis’ himself, Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland (portrayed by Jim Bucci). 


2-year-old Brayden Benison “can do a jig,” says his mom Chelsea, whose socks are enough to inspire anyone to start dancing.
