SHARON SPRINGS — The Sap House at Stone House Farm in Sharon Springs is back and in full swing for their 26th Season! These beloved weekend Pancake breakfasts have become a tradition across generations!
This seasonal pancake breakfast features the farm’s own maple syrup, and you dine right where the syrup is made inside the Sap House! With delicious maple syrup from last year to start, they will begin boiling sap right in the Sap House once it runs! The smell is really something to experience for yourself! The sap starts running whenever the days get warm and the nights stay cold, usually mid-Feb through March depending on the year!
With all-you-can eat pancakes, maple leaf shaped waffles, maple sausages, coffee, maple milk, orange juice, and all the maple fixings like maple syrup, maple butter, and maple sugar there is something for everyone! Don’t forget all the maple products for sale afterwards too!
The wonderful family behind Stone House Farm, The Everett’s, have been there since 1964. Tim and Patti Everett took over the farm in 1986, and in 1994 The Everett’s started selling maple products on the farm. Then in 2001, the couple decided to take it another step by opening up and serving the community these special breakfasts each year.
In a phone interview, Patti offered, “we’ll try to tap the trees next week and then once the sap runs, we will be boiling”.
Stone House Farm continues to operate a massive 5,000+ tap system with a wood-fired evaporator inside the Sap House. It's a family business as the Everetti's daughters and their families help out, especially with breakfasts!
This is family friendly dining and can even be an educational outing for all. It is always worth the experience! Breakfast hours are weekends ONLY from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Rates are: $12.00 per person, $6.00 for small children, and will run through the sap season with Sunday, April 12th as the last day.
The Everett’s of Stone House Farm welcome everyone for another season at the Sap House now through April 12th, during their traditional sap season. The Sap House at Stone House is located at 305 Lynk Road, Sharon Springs, NY 13459. For more information, please contact (518) 284-2476 or visit them on social media.
