DELHI - Delaware County Supervisors adopted the 2026 Media Plan, allocating $274,000 for its execution on March 11th. The total budget for the plan's execution is roughly $525,000.

Of the $274K allocated, $193,434 will be used for professional services, and $80,566 for advertising. Key budget items for professional services include the marketing agency Awestruck, contracted at $102,000, and the public relations organization The Brandman Agency, contracted at $71,736. Printing the county travel guide, Great Western Catskills, is budgeted at roughly $40,000. Funds will be used from the 2% bed tax revenue. The Hotel Occupancy Tax law requires funds to be allocated to the promotion and development of tourism.

Other funding sources include a $52,684 grant through the NYS Tourism Matching Funds Program, allocated for advertising. Budgeted for use are reserve funds in excess of the 2024 season at $83,395. The remaining $115,000 will come from county allocations.

The Economic Development department is the county-designated Tourism Promotion Agency and will oversee the plan's execution.
