FLEISCHMANNS — 1053 Art Gallery in Fleischmanns presented a spectacular event to shake us out of our winter blues with art, music and dancing this past Saturday April 12.  This wonderful event is a kick off for their upcoming art gallery season and their commitment to the arts.  All of our senses were enliven with Alan Powell’s video art and the pickup band of four phenomenal musicians.

Alan Powell’s created a panoramic moving collages of his animation of his photography of graffiti art, old dance films and live video of the musicians.  The video projections surrounded us on the walls of the gallery.  Interplayed with his images was live camera takings of the musicians playing.

Michael Suchorsky brought together a pickup band including Rebecca Harrington, John Henry and Jesse Cohen.  How lucky are we to have such amazing musicians in our Catskills area.  Each musician has had an extensive music career.  The audience was excitedly dancing their hearts out.
